Adam Matthew Steinberger is the founder of Humbleberger Ministries, a ministry dedicated to sharing the hope of the Good News with clarity, compassion, and cultural relevance.
Raised in a Reform Jewish home in Albany, New York, Adam's early life took a challenging turn during his teens and twenties, when he struggled with substance abuse and embraced atheism. After achieving sobriety, he traveled to Israel on a Birthright trip, where he briefly explored the possibility of converting to Orthodox Judaism.
In 2020, just before the onset of COVID-19, Adam placed his faith in Yeshua the Jewish Messiah. In 2023, he relocated to Greenville, South Carolina, to pursue greater ministry opportunities.
A mission trip to Honduras in October 2024 prompted Adam to "count the cost" of full-time Shlichut. In 2025, he enrolled on-campus at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, pursuing a Master of Divinity in Missiology. He attended ShalomNY with Chosen People Ministries in July 2025 and returned to his home in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, in August 2025 to continue his studies online part-time while maintaining his career as a Software Engineer. He currently holds a 3.7 GPA.
Adam is gifted in prayer, outreach, apologetics, missions, and street engagement, and carries a contagious heart of joy. Recently diagnosed with autism (October 2025), he brings unique insight to his calling. He specializes in outreach to Jewish people, individuals in recovery, the LGBT community, those exploring Islam, and committed atheists—meeting people where they are with grace and truth.
