Isaiah 35 said the Messiah would open blind eyes and make the lame walk.
Yeshua did exactly that.
He touched people no one else would touch. Healed diseases no one else could heal. Raised the dead.
But here's the thing:
His miracles weren't just acts of kindness. They were proof of His claims.
The Miracles Were Messianic Credentials
When John the Baptist sent messengers to ask, "Are you the one?" Yeshua didn't just say "yes."
He said, "Go tell John what you've seen: the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised."
He was quoting Isaiah 35, the passage about what the Messiah would do.
Translation: "Yes, I'm the one. And the miracles prove it."
But He Went Further
Yeshua didn't just heal bodies. He forgave sins.
That's when the religious leaders lost their minds. "Who can forgive sins but G-d alone?"
Exactly.
So Yeshua healed the paralytic to prove He had the authority to forgive.
The miracles weren't just compassion. They were divine validation.
Power with a Purpose
Yeshua could have healed everyone on earth. He didn't.
He healed strategically: to reveal who He was, to fulfill prophecy, and to show that the Kingdom of G-d had broken into history.
Every miracle was a statement:
"I am the Messiah. I am G-d. And I came to save you."
