Daniel 9 doesn't just describe the Messiah. It gives you a countdown.
"Seventy weeks are decreed... until the Anointed One is cut off."
Daniel 9:24-26
Written around 530 BCE in Babylon, this prophecy gives a timeline for when the Messiah would appear: and be "cut off" (killed).
Do the Math
The prophecy starts with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem: 445 BCE.
"Seventy sevens" (490 years) are decreed.
The Messiah appears after 69 weeks (483 years). Then He is "cut off."
483 years from 445 BCE = 33 CE.
The exact year most scholars date Yeshua's crucifixion.
Not Vague. Not Symbolic.
This isn't poetry. It's a calendar.
Ancient Jewish scholars like Rashi and Saadia Gaon recognized this passage as messianic.
The timing matches. The description matches. The death matches.

The Messiah Was "Cut Off", But Not For Himself
Daniel says the Messiah would die... "but not for Himself."
For who, then?
What if He was cut off for you?
What if this 2,500-year-old prophecy was pointing to a specific man, in a specific year, for a specific reason?
